The Monster Mash - An RSC Tale

Origins of the Franchise

In the primordial days of RSC, when the league was but a fledgling known as ORSA, six mighty franchises arose to lay the foundation of what would become a legendary realm of competition. Among these original champions stood the precursor to The Monster Mash, then known as Celestial Bodies, commanded by TyKilla. Under his leadership, the franchise etched its first mark into the annals of league history.

As the league evolved and took on its modern form, so too did the franchise transform. It donned new identities, first as Galaxy Squad, then as Interstellar, under the stewardship of Czexmix. His guidance through uncharted waters carried the franchise forward, navigating the early trials of the league. After two seasons of determined leadership, Czexmix relinquished his command at the conclusion of Season 2.

In these early seasons, the franchise found its footing and captured glory, crowning the likes of MARKsman, Skull, Pixie Gangstereo, and Skadaddy as Champions in Season 2. The seeds of a resilient dynasty had been planted.

The Changing of the Guard

As the league flourished and the player ranks swelled with eager competitors, a new leader arose from within. SpenSah, once a player himself, ascended to General Manager and rebranded the franchise once again as Interstellar. His vision transcended mere competition, emphasizing camaraderie and forging bonds that extended beyond Rocket League itself—a brotherhood both on and off the field.

Yet, as life's tides shifted with the arrival of a child, SpenSah passed the mantle to Xephs, who stood ready to carry on the torch, with SpenSah remaining nearby as Second-in-Command.

Under Xephs' steady guidance, the franchise continued its journey, culminating in the crowning of Infinite, stupid, phyrexius, and Czexmix as Champions in Season 4. After two seasons of steadfast leadership, Xephs too stepped aside, and the franchise once more stood at the crossroads of change.

The Feen Era and the Birth of 8-Bit Brigade

Season 6 marked the arrival of Feen, whose legendary Draft voice echoed throughout the league, becoming a cherished ritual of RSC's grand ceremonies. With bold ambition, he transformed the franchise into 8-Bit Brigade, hailed by Cakekyst as the "best Franchise ever made." Alongside Varenine as AGM, Feen endeavored to build not just a team, but a sanctuary—a place where players would find lasting friendship, good humor, and a home within RSC.

Though Championship titles remained elusive during this era, the Brigade became legendary for its unmatched vibes, unwavering fellowship, and enduring camaraderie. Many who passed through its ranks stayed tethered to its legacy, their bonds unbroken even long after departing the league. The cultural foundation laid by Feen would serve as a beacon for years to come. To this day, his enduring influence echoes through every corner of RSC.

8-Bit Brigade - The Reign of Varenine

In Season 9, the torch was passed to Varenine, a leader who carried forward the spirit of 8-Bit Brigade with humility and grace. Rejecting rigid hierarchy, he led as one among equals, fostering a sanctuary where drama was banished, and joy reigned supreme.

Under Varenine's reign, the franchise once again tasted victory, crowning Guy Flurry, Chuckles, JesterGG, and Xpooprscooprx as Champions in Season 10. Yet even amidst triumph, the ever-shifting demands of life beckoned. At the conclusion of Season 11, Varenine stepped down, entrusting the sacred torch to his successor, Rex.

The Era of Wex, the Mighty Shoebill, and the Rise of The Monster Mash

With his ascension, Rex breathed fresh life into the franchise, guiding it into a new age under the banner of The Monster Mash. Originally conceived as a tribute to monsters from beloved media, the theme evolved into a spooky, whimsical, graveyard-rocking identity that has become its proud and iconic symbol to this day.

Though postseason glory proved elusive during this chapter, The Monster Mash flourished as a haven for unmatched vibes, laughter, and playful mischief. The mighty Shoebill, Wex, became a symbol of the franchise's quirky and beloved spirit. Loyal disciples continued to gather beneath its banner, finding in it not just a team, but a true home.

The Reign of FrostyBrew and The Monster Mash Legacy Continues

As real-world duties called Rex away, the ever-watchful torch was passed to his trusted AGM, FrostyBrew, who now commands The Monster Mash with steady hands and unwavering dedication.

By Season 22, the franchise had carved out a legacy both respectable and enduring. Multiple deep playoff runs brought new hope to its followers, and glory was once again claimed as Rcmblocks, LostZealous, Balynce, and XerNaut were crowned Champions in Season 20.

Thus, the saga of The Monster Mash marches ever forward—a tale not solely of victories, but of enduring fellowship, joyous laughter, and the unbreakable bonds forged within RSC's ever-evolving realm.
