MON Franchise Management Sheet¶
Overview¶
This is the sheet we use to manage the franchise as a whole. It can be destroyed or reused as you see fit, but I want to make sure you have everything I could possibly hand over.

Tabs¶
The Monster Mash (Green)¶
- What this tab tracks: The high-level leadership and brand identity of the franchise.
- How to use it: It lists the GM (FrostyBrew) and AGMs. It serves as the "Front Office" directory.
- GM Note: We wanted to try to make a front door for potentially players to see info, but this got abandoned and just became a front door. Some tab has to be first right?
Dashboard (Green)¶
- What this tab tracks: The health of the entire franchise. It shows MMR caps, current team MMR, and "Room" (remaining cap space) for every tier from Premier down to Contender.
- How to use it: Look at the "CAP" vs "CURR" columns. If a "Room" value is negative, that team is illegal. It also aggregates the Franchise Win/Loss record.
- GM Note: My goal was to tie this into Contracts using an admittedly older format that I liked, but it got abandoned when I build "Merged Team Builder". Even still, it's got our color codes and such.
Draft Board Review and Compare (Black)¶
- What this tab tracks: The results of the draft across the whole league. It shows every pick made by every franchise.
- How to use it: Use the filters to look at specific franchises to see what kind of talent they secured.
- GM Note: This is a great sheet to compare draft boards. You can see your draft board and compare it directly to another franchise when trying to find trade-ups and trade-downs. It color-codes the pick ranges which is nice. It also gives you GM so you don't go searching for it. It uses Draft Layout for the data.
Draft Trade Board (Black)¶
- What this tab tracks: Active trade blocks and draft pick offerings.
- How to use it: Use the LTTU (Looking to Trade Up) and LTTD (Looking to Trade Down) indicators to signal your intent to other GMs.
- GM Note: The goal was to have a fast and pretty screenshot to post. Many franchises have gone away from this, but it's a holdover.
Trade Board Ideas (Black)¶
- What this tab tracks: Internal brainstorming for potential trades and draft strategies.
- How to use it: Use the "Locked" and "Priority" columns to rank players you are targeting or picks you are willing to move.
- GM Note: This is my private "scratchpad" where I manually fill out our starting draft picks, keepers, and priorities. All manual, yeah, not ideal but it was helpful. Since I was the only one trading 99% of the time, I could easily keep this up-to-date and I didn't trade a ton anyway.
Tryout Line-ups (Yellow)¶
- What this tab tracks: A tool to organize tryout matches for 6, 7, or 8 players.
- How to use it: Input names into the player slots. The sheet generates balanced rotations so everyone plays with everyone else. Track wins/losses in the "Wins" column.
- GM Note: I took Wntr's tryouts sheet, made some changes, then bashed my brain in to create an 8-player lineup. Its helpful in a pinch! A quick screenshot and you can paste it in the tryout channel. As you can probably tell, my goal was to replace this with a bot that can do it, but never got around to it.
RSC Team List (Yellow)¶
- What this tab tracks: The official names of every team in every tier for every franchise.
- How to use it: Just look at it!
- GM Note: Admittedly didn't use this much since the bot commands in the server has gotten so good. It's sort of a holdover.
Merged Team Builder (Yellow)¶
- What this tab tracks: The primary tool for building legal rosters. It pulls MMR data for players and calculates the total team MMR.
- How to use it: Select players from the dropdowns. The sheet will automatically calculate if you are within the Tier Max and Tier Min requirements.
- GM Note: This sheet was my bread and butter. I basically lived in it. I was able to fix a lot of issues from v1.0 on this idea and I loved this sheet all season long.
Combine Data (Yellow)¶
- What this tab tracks: Performance data from the pre-season combines.
- How to use it: Track "Delta" (the difference between a player's base MMR and their performance in the combine).
- GM Note: There was a plan to incorporate the combine data into a much larger scouting tab, but it got abandoned in favor of my "Frosty's Dumbass Notes" sheet.
Schedule (Blue)¶
- What this tab tracks: The calendar for the current season's match days.
- How to use it: No idea, it's been broken for years.
- GM Note: One of those sheets we created and never used, it's been broken for years and I honestly never look at it.
Match Results (Blue)¶
- What this tab tracks: The actual outcomes of every game played by every team in the franchise.
- How to use it: Record Wins (W) and Losses (L) for each match day.
- GM Note: This data feeds the Dashboard's win percentage calculation. It's entirely manual, I usually sit there after match days and fill it out when players post in the #score-reporting channel. Should have 100% automated at least the regular season matches, ah well.
Roster/FA (Blue)¶
- What this tab tracks: Mid-season roster management and Free Agent (FA) tracking.
- How to use it: Track which players have been cut and which FAs are available to be picked up.
- GM Note: Use the "Cut to Fit" section to see who you'd need to cut to fit a specific player. Very handy to get a very fast list if a player abandons or needs replaced.
Quick Stats/Playoffs (Blue)¶
- What this tab tracks: Individual player stats and their team's standing for playoff qualification.
- How to use it: Monitor Goals, Assists, and Saves per game to identify your MVP candidates.
- GM Note: Honestly I just wanted a pretty looking sheet for player stats, and this was the product of that.
Waiver Wire (Blue)¶
- What this tab tracks: Active waiver claims within the league.
- How to use it: Note the "Expires" date for any player you are interested in.
- GM Note: Rarely used, it should work but honestly I have no idea.
TeamsSheet (Red)¶
- What this tab tracks: Raw, league-wide data for every team's performance.
- How to use it: This is an import from the main RSC sheets. It is used for scouting and ranking your teams against the rest of the league.
- GM Note: Avoid editing this tab directly; it is designed to be a data import source. It's formatted like trash, soooooo apologies for that.
RosterSheet (Red)¶
- What this tab tracks: A detailed statistical breakdown of every rostered player in the franchise.
- How to use it: Just look at it!
- GM Note: This feeds the "Quick Stats" tab. If stats aren't updating, check the import link on this sheet.
Player Sheet (Red)¶
- What this tab tracks: The master list of all players and their unique IDs, I guess?
- How to use it: This provides the data validation (the dropdown menus) for the rest of the spreadsheet.
- GM Note: Mysty created this sheet and honestly I have no idea what it does. It was broken as I was writing this because the formula was looking for a True or False in an RSC ID column, so it's been broken forever as far as I can tell.
Contract Import (Teal)¶
- What this tab tracks: Official contract data (length, MMR, and tier) from the RSC Contracts Sheet pulled from the Constants tab.
- How to use it: This is a background data sheet. It ensures the "Merged Team Builder" uses official league numbers.
- GM Note: This tab is the backbone of your MMR calculations. Sorry it's formatted like crap.
Tier Maker Import (Red)¶
- What this tab tracks: It imports the Tier Maker so we can have the Merged Team Builder operating on either the Tier Maker or Contracts sheet.
- How to use it: This is a background data sheet. It ensures the "Merged Team Builder" uses "official league numbers."
- GM Note: This is the sheet used if you set "Get Data From Tiermaker" at B4 on "Merged Team Builder". Helpful to build teams and such using what numbers you have available before Contracts sheet.
Draft Import (Red)¶
- What this tab tracks: The raw log of the Draft Layout sheet.
- How to use it: Just look at it, but it feeds other sheets.
- GM Note: This sheet is needed for the Draft Board tab, etc.
Master Member Import (Red)¶
- What this tab tracks: It imports the Master Member Sheet from the API.
- How to use it: Just look at it, but it feeds other sheets.
- GM Note: This sheet is necessary to tie RSC IDs to Player Names in some sheets, alongside other things.
SBV IDR Import (Red)¶
- What this tab tracks: Imports the SBV and IDR sheets.
- How to use it: Just look at it, but it feeds other sheets.
- GM Note: Yeah, this is an older sheet before the RPV sheet existed. It's not great.
RPV Import (Red)¶
- What this tab tracks: Imports the RPV sheet data.
- How to use it: Just look at it, but it feeds other sheets.
- GM Note: Yeah, instead of fixing the SBV IDR Import, I just made another import sheet. Great, right? xdd
Constants (Teal)¶
- What this tab tracks: Collects all the URLs for all the sheets that are imported or referenced.
- How to use it: Very important that you update the URLs here as the sheets are released.
- GM Note: Pretty obvious, this is extremely important to keep up-to-date.
